M.Sc.in Petroleum Geoscience Programme admission form For UNIPORT 2016/2017

                                               

 The Centre for Petroleum Geosciences (CPG) was established in 2011 to cater for the geoscience skills and needs of the Petroleum Sector in Nigeria and the Gulf of Guinea. The Centre's programme features international standard and has become incredible under a culture of excellence, global vision and professionalism to meet the ever-growing needs of the technology - driven industry.

CPG offers a good academic setting in a bold effort to encourage purposeful learning and research, which also contains field and operational facility trips. The programme, as designed, encourages students' team heart and leadership skills by living together and working in teams.

UNIPORT's hard work at developing the Middle is driven by the critical national and territorial need to further improve the professional realm of the academicMaster's Degree Plan to provide graduates with requisite competence and enough skills that can deliver the geoscience support needs of the Petroleum Sector.

The academic programme is delivered in modules, mutually by lecturers from the University of Port Harcourt and related academic configurations, and also by experts from the Petroleum Sector both within and outside the house Nigeria.

On completion of this unique profession-driven Masters Degree Programme, the teachers will among other skills, be able to:

Give sufficient geoscience inputs in the analysis and management of Oil and Gas Fields.
Adapt effectively to use of modern techniques in operations, development and production geosciences.
Understand and know the state-of-the skill techniques in geoscience data acquisition, processing and model.
Professionally coordinate and regulate well data gathering and interpretation.
Participate skillfully and effectively interface in various Gas and oil Field Review Programs and Field Development Groups.

DURATION: The duration of the programme is doze calendar months of extensive full-time study.

AWARD OF DEGREE: Successful students at the end of the programme shall receive a Master's Degree in Petroleum Geoscience.

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION: College students will be prepared and offered for qualification as Link Environmental Professional (AEP) by the National Registry of Environmental Professionals (NREP), UNITED STATES and the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON).

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have got a minimum amount of Bachelor's Degree Moment Class Honours (Upper Division) in Geoscience, Petroleum and Gas Engineering or relevant Petroleum Geoscience related field, and should have completed their NYSC by 12 ,, 2016. Consideration for entry may be given to Company sponsored student with minimal three (3) years relevant experience with Moment Class Honours (Lower Division) Degree, good results. a CGPA of at least 3. 00 (on a 5. 00 scale).

PROGRAM FEE: A non-refundable app cost of twenty-one 1, 000 naira (N21, 000)will be required to be paid to Centre for Petroleum Geosciences (CPG) on-line through e-transact to start out the app procedure. The approved getting banks for the repayment are: First Bank, Gain access to Bank, Fidelity Bank, UBA, FCMB and ECO Loan company.

Applicants may access the form on-line from CPG Website and follow instructions for submission. Applicants may also accumulate the form face-to-face and follow submitter procedure.

Skills Test holds on Comes to an end, 7th October, 2016
Dental interview holds in March, 2016
Admitted individuals will be communicated and also names will be exhibited on the CPG Site www.ipsng.org on or before Friday, 6th November, 2016.
